Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF)
1. What is Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) in Government?

6. Pay Grade:
- The pay scale for CAPF positions is generally in the range of Level 6 to Level 8 (Rs. 35,400 – Rs. 1,12,400), depending on the position and the rank.
- There are allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and others, in addition to the basic salary.
7. Ex-Soldier Eligibility:
- Ex-servicemen are generally given a relaxation in age and can apply for CAPF posts as per the government’s reservation and relaxation rules for ex-servicemen.

- SC/ST: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 27% for OBCs.
- Ex-Servicemen: Reserved seats as per government norms.
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 10% reservation is also applicable in some cases.

- Sports persons who have represented the state or country at national or international levels can get certain relaxation in physical and educational eligibility criteria based on the government’s norms.
