01. What is Technical Entry Scheme (TES) in Govt?

02. Education Eligibility

Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.

06. Pay Grade

Stipend during training: Around ₹56,100 per month.
Post-commission pay: The pay scale starts at Level 10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500) with additional military allowances.
Other benefits include free housing, rations, medical facilities, and transport allowances.

07. Ex-Soldier Eligibility

TES is designed for fresh candidates and not for ex-soldiers or those who have already served in the Armed Forces.

08. Reservation

There is no reservation based on caste, community, or category for TES entries. The selection process is based purely on merit.

09. Sportsperson Eligibility

While no specific advantage is given to sportspersons in TES, candidates with an exceptional sports background may gain recognition in their subsequent military careers.

10. Promotion in Career

Officers can rise through ranks based on merit, experience, and performance:
- Lieutenant → Captain → Major → Lieutenant Colonel → Colonel → Brigadier → Major General → Lieutenant General → General
Opportunities for promotions to higher ranks depend on service tenure, courses attended, and evaluations.
